Wildlife Discovery App. A camera-first mobile app that names the wildlife you photograph and keeps a collection of what you’ve found. It started with “what kind of ___ is that?” on my daily walks. The identification approach is decided, and the backend is next.

How to evaluate an AI system without fooling myself, which has been most of the wildlife app so far. React Native and a Python backend are next in line. I’m also writing things down while they’re fresh, because decisions are easier to learn from when I can see why I made them.
